Our artists recently showcased their ~ SCULPTURAL SPRINGTIME SLOTHS in a sling, sporting stylish sandals + sunhats + sunglasses + scarves, while sipping & sun-basking in the sunshine in our early spring + six-week + school-year art workshops for ages 5 & up! We have a feeling these creatures will “slowly” steal your heart! Sharing a list of sweet-n-simple, go-to-supplies, to get your very own sloth started using several upcycled material you might already have on hand! Did you know sloths are the most trending animal of the year? Would you believe the sloth has replaced the unicorn!?! Indeed, it’s true! Read about their debut as “the most trending creature” of this year. Would you also believe a baby sloth was just born, right here in Colorado!?! Our Winter Vintage Cottages were created in our workshop HANDMAKERY FROM THE HEART: making + creating to give with 6 – 9 year olds! The Winter Vintage Cottage was our third project in a six-week session! The children absolutely LOVED working on these! Most children created their cottage as special gifts for a loved one! We were excited that the cottage could light up with a flameless tea light and be used for a nightlight! With all the windows it has fabulous ambiance! Our biggest challenge was finding enough of these fabulous little houses, but with friends and family searching across two states, we had just enough for our seventeen HANDMAKERY artists! Thank goodness for family and friends that searched high and low, making room in their travels for these delightful pieces to inspire! Here is a little gift to welcome your NEW YEAR focused on making + creating + crafting + exploring creativity + being hands-on + celebrating mixed-media! Exploring {hands-on + mixed-media + sculpture + mask making} in just four days together from 9AM to noon in our MAGICAL MASK MAKING workshop, each 6 – 9 year old artist created a magical dragon mask! Each artist was super excited to take home their 3-D sculpture just before the July 4th festivities got underway! We were thrilled to create eleven of these 3-D sculptures primarily out of recycled + reclaimed + re-used goods. The interior of each sculpture housed a handcrafted, plaster, facial mask. On July 31 + August 14 HANDMAKERY: A Children’s Art Studio will be hosting two more CRAFT NIGHTS: Under the Stars + In the Studio for children ages 6 – 9 years of age from 5:30 – 7:30PM! These special nights are filling fast! June’s CRAFT NIGHT was a huge success! Enroll today while spaces are still available, last month our special event sold out!
