LOVE-ly Owls {painting + mixed media} were created at HANDMAKERY: A Children’s Art Studio, located in beautiful Carbondale | Colorado!

This project was created by 6 – 8 year olds in our six week workshop, HANDMADE WITH LOVE: making + creating for Valentine’s Day! Take a peek at the exciting process which includes sketching, transferring, painting, constructing 3-D recycled eyes + a 3-D nest on a driftwood branch, sculpting clay owlet eggs, glittering eggs, adding lots of special detail and finally writing a short little story about the owl couple and their owlets about ready to hatch to tie onto each painting. Our last session of HANDMADE WITH LOVE included an art gallery showing + artist recognition ceremony that was well attended by HANDMAKERY families!
