Creating Wool Foxes for a Community of Little Readers
Local teens + HANDMAKERY came together to create over 17 soft sculptures using reclaimed wools to give back to their community! Each teen created a fox to live at the local library for children to read with, while visiting the library. The process of hand-stitching these little woodland creatures took several weeks of LOVE + PATIENCE + DEDICATION + HARD WORK + HANDWORK + GIVING OF THE HEART ♥. Storytime for tots just happened to be getting started as the makers + creators delivered their fox. Each teen got to share their soft sculpture with a little one to see the excitement + love, firsthand. Which one would you choose? It would sure be a hard decision! As an artist, it is not easy to part with something one has created and is so proud of; such a special and giving group to create these little treasures for “little ones” within their community!
